

Today, the second day of FItur, we had the pleasure to have with us for the first time Mr. Amr Elkady, Executive Director of the Egyptian Tourism Authority. He reveals news, new openings, talks about security in the country and new tourist offers for agencies, tour operators and travel lovers.
He told us in the interview about Egypt's cultural diversity, the hospitality of its people, its gastronomic and leisure offer, which is able to offer tourists multiple options for travel and enjoyment such as its majestic turquoise beaches, its coral reefs, deserts, dunes and of course its great monuments.
He said: Egypt is deeply committed to sustainability, maintaining that a very high percentage of the hotels are committed to caring for the environment and are totally sustainable’.
He also told us that their main objective in this fair is to continue offering their tourist offer in Europe but mainly in the Spanish market, which they love and with which they identify themselves.
Amr El Kady has been in the exciting field of marketing and advertising for over 30 years, promoting some of the world's most prestigious brands.
He has had the privilege of working with many leading multinational companies in regional and international markets, from a junior marketing executive to becoming the Vice President of the largest communication group in the Middle East and North Africa.
With a degree in mass communication and many professional studies in marketing and research, I always had a passion for tourism and antiquities, having grown up. among the wonders of ancient Egyptian civilization, so decided to study Egyptology and ancient history to fulfill that passion.
Finally, the passion came true when he was appointed CEO of the Egyptian Tourism Authority, where he enjoys the combination of marketing, tourism and antiquities and is responsible for promoting Egypt as a global tourist destination with all it has to offer and show the world the authenticity and diversity it enjoys and help achieve my nation's ambition of growth and prosperity.
As CEO of ETA, he oversees the planning and implementation of marketing strategies for Egypt through advertising, public relations, content production, digital marketing, events and B2B relationships with tour operators and airlines, as well as international media, governments and tourism-related organizations.
