Hosted by BBC Radio 1 broadcasters and DJs, Pete Tong and Jaguar, the IMS will cover the issues that matter to the industry including Diversity and Inclusion, Artificial Intelligence and Web3; touching on topics such as Ageism and Neurodiversity. In addition, the ever-changing dynamics between managers, agents and promoters will be discussed, and music journalism will be analysed. As every year, and as part of the extensive IMS data analysis, the IMS Business Report 2023 will be presented, which will offer a complete and detailed information on the electronic music industry over the past year, presented by David Boyle (IMS / Audience Strategies; UK), with the annual figure of the value of the industry in global terms for the past year.

Max Lousada (CEO, Recorded Music, Warner Music Group), visits IMS for the first time to reflect on his long and influential career in the music industry, in an interview where he will talk about his affinity for the island of Ibiza and electronic music. He will also offer his thoughts on the future of WMG's international recorded music operations.

He has earned a reputation as one of the UK's most refreshing talents in club culture. Resident on BBC radio 1 and head of the Hooversound label, SHERELLE (Artist) will be in conversation with Fabio & Grooverider (Artists), the DJ duo who pioneered the drum 'n' bass sound and played an indispensable role in establishing the UK house, techno and breakbeat scenes.

In 'Claiming Your Rights', Ben Mawson (Co-Founder, TaP Music) will present a fascinating case study. TaP Music spearheaded the legal action that led house legends Larry Head and Robert Owens to win a major court battle to reclaim the rights to their music catalogue after decades of struggle.

The live recording of the 'Takin' Care of Lady Busine$$' podcast will join Jennifer Justice (Founder/CEO, The Justice Dept.), executive and former lawyer for Jay-Z, well known for her expertise in forging the careers of many artists, along with TOKiMONSTA (Artist), to discuss her latest business venture as co-founder of SONA, a web3 focused on music etiquette where artists are the sole owners of their creations.

Fat Tony (Artist), will share the journey from his rise as a leader during the 80s and 90s of the club scene as one of London's most hedonistic DJs to his rehabilitation and recovery, in an intimate interview.

Planet in Progress by will feature DJ, producer, pianist, activist, founder of Femme House and music director of W Hotels, LP Giobbi (Artist), leading a workshop to learn key tools in sound production, engineering and design for women, queer and non-binary people.

Elijah (Founder, Make The Ting) will bring to Ibiza the workshop 'Social Media as a Canvas', sharing his vision and experience in the field to build resonant brands through these tools.

In 'Trust the Process', Cristiana Simon (Artist Manager, Alegria Agency), manager of Grammy award winning artist Black Coffee, will share her experiences based on trust as a young manager.

IMS brings back panel discussion with Tom Schroeder (Wasserman, Partner; Agency) in a one-on-one chat with a soon-to-be-announced leading industry promoter.

Trendsetter and master curator David Sinopoli (Founder, iii Points; Co-Owner, Club Space), will share some of his secrets in creating one of the most innovative festivals and running one of the best nightclubs globally, Club Space, which has made Miami one of the most important cities in the dance scene.

IMS co-founder and chief curator Ben Turner states:

"IMS returns to Ibiza's summer season with powerful and diverse content focused on the keys to addressing the challenges facing our industry today. In 2023 we don't have the luxury of speculating about the future. In our industry, the first full year back in business after the pandemic, we will present a dizzying collection of new products, problems and possibilities.

Artists have returned to touring or do so in the midst of a major generational shift, with high production and travel costs and increasingly complex environmental issues surrounding live music. As a tidal wave of AI-generated content moves forward, some welcome a new era of creative possibilities, while others bemoan the loss of another aspect of humanity in music. All the while creating a cornucopia of unanswered questions about rights control. It's time we collectively 'Face the Future'".

Dan Chalmers, Head of Music EMEA at YouTube states:

"YouTube is proud to support IMS in bringing together global industry leaders. Innovation has always been at the heart of electronic music and certainly conferences like IMS are vital to explore together as an industry how to collectively innovate and break new ground in the face of an ever-evolving technology landscape. Change comes from within and we are excited to continue our collaboration with IMS to empower the next generation of electronic music visionaries.

IMS Ibiza delegates will also get to experience some of the island's most famous parties and events, including the iconic IMS Dalt Vila celebration that closes the congress each year.
