With a relaxed and unpretentious yet exciting and spontaneous atmosphere, NOBU IBIZA epitomises the lifestyle of the bay of Ibiza.

 

From the moment we set foot in the restaurant, the excellence and attention from the hostesses and manager, Nuno Dias, leaves us truly surprised for the better.

With an "irasshaimase" they welcome us in the purest Japanese style.

The word irasshaimase (いらっしゃいませ) can be translated as 'Welcome, how can I help you' or simply 'Hello', although with this second meaning it is only used in very specific situations.

 

It is the prototypical phrase used in most shops , restaurants to welcome a customer or invite them in, often accompanied by a slight nod or bow.

We are then invited to take a seat and Nuno Díaz advises us on NOBU Matsuhisa's exclusive and star dishes.

 

We sanitize our hands as usual with wet wipes and start our gastronomic journey with an excellent fusion of Japanese and Peruvian cuisine.

 

We savoured the Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeño, followed by a fresh spinach salad with miso (Baby spinach salad dry miso), then we tried Rock Shrimp tempura ( fresh prawns, very crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, ), followed by the Black Cod Miso (super tasty cod ), then the Tiradito (fresh and very tender tuna) and we finished with a  lightweight and differentiated octopus.

Difficult to know which one to recommend because it was an explosion of flavours and textures... Each one better than the next!

 

The personalized and exclusive attention received at all times, makes you feel on the one hand comfortable at home with touches of elegance and exclusivity and on the other hand you feel super special.

Nuno Días, a great host and expert if ever there was one, explains each of the dishes in detail for our delight and knowledge. He tells us with enthusiasm how the products are chosen with care from the time they are harvested in the garden, bought at the fish market, until they arrive in the kitchen and are carefully prepared. 

 

You don't have to worry about calling any of the staff, they are so attentive to you that it seems more like a butler service than a restaurant.

Unbelievable!
