Sunwaves Roquetas de Mar Kicks Off with Success and Impeccable Organization

Roquetas de Mar, September 5, 2025

The eagerly awaited Spanish edition of the Sunwaves festival has kicked off in Roquetas de Mar, and the first night exceeded all expectations. From the moment the doors opened at 10 p.m., a legion of loyal fans, arriving from all corners of the world, gathered eagerly to immerse themselves in the unique experience offered by this iconic electronic music event.

The setting chosen for this edition, an impressive space very close to the seashore, proved to be another character in the festival, helping to create an unparalleled atmosphere. The sea breeze and the sound of the waves intertwined with the first beats emanating from the two stages set up for the occasion.

The musical night began on stage 1,  with the local artist Bliezt, who masterfully opened the dance floor. He was followed by the overwhelming Marco Faraone, who for three hours unleashed such passionate rhythms that it was impossible to stop dancing, being constantly acclaimed by the cheers and whistles of the audience. Franky Rizardo took over, demonstrating his mastery by alternating current hits with remixes of great classics.

The closing of the main stage was left in the hands of East End Dubs, who knew how to further heighten the excitement of the audience with a session that lasted well past 10:00 a.m., just before having to leave just before having to leave for his next destination in New York. Meanwhile, on Stage 2, Traumer's intense groove and incredible feeling came as a huge surprise to those discovering him for the first time.

But the success of this first day was not only musical. It should be emphasized that the organization was meticulous, with extreme attention to detail. The food on offer, available from numerous food trucks from opening to closing, was of the highest quality.

You could enjoy beautifully presented and cooked dishes such as ribs, roast chicken, and Iberian pork. The bathrooms deserve a special mention; honestly, we have never seen such extreme cleanliness at any festival, and sometimes not even in the best clubs or restaurants. There was not a single piece of paper on the floor, nor any unpleasant odors. Everything was impeccable, passing the litmus test with flying colors.

From the first contact, the team's hospitality was palpable. Key figures such as Mihaela and Alexa went out of their way to welcome attendees and showed us great affection from the moment we arrived, while the presence of the festival's founder, Ioan Borzea, personally supervising, underscored the passion that underpins this project.

Honestly, we can only congratulate the organization and especially Ioan Borzea for such a job well done. Their friendliness and giving us the opportunity to be the official broadcaster of this great festival with such deep roots is an honor.

Without a doubt, this first day has left us with an unbeatable taste in our mouths and has raised our expectations for the remaining days to the maximum.

The magic has only just begun on the shores of the Mediterranean.
